Jonas Weissenrieder is professor at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. His principal research interests are in the fields of heterogeneous catalysis and ultrafast dynamics. Within catalysis the focus of his group is chiefly on studies of model systems over metal and metal oxide surfaces using scanning tunneling microscopy and synchrotron radiation-based techniques. For ultrafast processes his group is interested in applications of ultrafast electron microscopy to laser driven magnetization and structural dynamics. Chair of the Swedish Society for Materials Science and Vacuum Technology.
